3 Reasons Why I Closed My PlayStation Plus Account

<p>When Sony&nbsp;<a href="https://www.theverge.com/2023/8/30/23852353/playstation-plus-prices-increase-essential-extra-premium" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">announced their huge price increase</a>&nbsp;for PlayStation Plus subscriptions, I immediately logged into my PS account and canceled my&nbsp;<a href="https://www.playstation.com/en-us/ps-plus/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">PlayStation subscription</a>&nbsp;&mdash; I had previously been enjoying PlayStation Extra having paid a slight step increase from my previous Essential account.</p> <p>The price increase just confirmed the decision I&rsquo;d been waffling on &mdash; the membership, with the significantly increased costs, was no longer worth the price of admission. Here&rsquo;s my reasoning as to why:</p> <ol> <li><strong>No Refunds</strong><br /> The PlayStation store does not offer refunds for purchases. Ever. Once you buy it, it&rsquo;s yours. Tough shit if you don&rsquo;t like the game or for whatever reason you cannot play it. Sony offers zero recourse for requesting a refund.
