PlayStation 5 Surpasses 40 Million Units Sold

Sony has announced today through a post to the <a href="https://sonyinteractive.com/en/playstation-5-surpasses-40-million-in-sales/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">SIE Blog</a> that the Sony PlayStation 5 has surpassed 40 million units sold to gamers. This milestone was hit only around 6 months after Sony had announced they had previously hit the 30 million milestone, back in January 2023/ The blog post, written by Sony Interactive president and CEO Jim Ryan, goes on to recount the early launch window of Sony’s now current generation of hardware.
