Amaze those pesky newbies at the local dog park and their new show-offy mutts with some jaw dropping new tricks for old dogs. Stay — Just tell your dog the magic word ‘stay.’ People will think he could go for a run if he weren’t being such a good boy. Roll Over, Play Dead and Scare the Crap Out of Everybody — Teach your dog to roll over and then play dead to scare everyone into thinking he really isn’t playing … Kvetch — Throw a ball and then have your dog cry and whine about having to go fetch it. I’ve Bowed and I Can’t Get Up — Have your dog take a bow and then pause. As everyone starts worrying, have him hit the button on a ‘I’ve fallen and can’t get up’ medical alert device with their paw. Drool — Oh, he’ll do this anyway. So, just say, “Drool;” so, it seems like he did it on command. Climb Steps into Your Arms — Think jump into your arms with a little less jump and a lot more steps.
