How I Schedule & Plan My Week Out
<p>Time. It’s the one commodity that’s the most valuable yet most often underestimated one. Everyone is given the same amount but for some odd reason, why does it seem like that’s not the case?</p>

<p>The answer lies in how people plan for the day. After all, according to Benjamin Franklin — allegedly — people don’t plan to fail, but they fail to plan.</p>
<p>Mastering the art of energy management is vital to adulting successfully. As we get older, the number of responsibilities will only increase, so it’s best to master the discipline of this as early as possible.</p>
<p>There’s different strategies in structuring your day depending on if you’re a full time student, a working professional, or perhaps, both in certain cases. It all just depends on where you’re at in life.</p>
<p>In this article, I’ll go ahead and share what worked for me in both scenarios as well as what didn’t work out for me.</p>
<h2>What didn’t work for me</h2>
<p>Time and time again, what I’ve noticed didn’t work out for me was memorizing my schedule for the day, no matter if it was a busy or a slow day. The reason being was because I kept finding myself wasting 10–20 mins after every completed task thinking about what to do next.</p>
<p>At first glance, 10–20 mins doesn’t seem like much. But when you have 5 things to do for example and you’re wasting a good 10–20 mins after each task, that’s about 1–2 hours wasted each day that could’ve been used more effectively. 1–2 hours wasted each day compounds into 7–14 hours a week. Gone as fast as Thanos snapped his fingers and wished for half of the universe’s population to vanish. An equivalent to a good night’s sleep for 1–2 days.</p>
<p>Get the point now? In case you didn’t, let me spell it out for you. Do NOT YOLO your day. Plan it out.</p>
