Australia’s Pittwater Paradise

It had been exactly nine years since my last visit to one of the breathtaking bay fingers spreading across the watery Sydney suburb called Pittwater.

I was here to visit the best person I know, the Australian author Susan Duncan, who had been my roommate in New York when we were both young journalists engaged in the kinds of mischief not atypical for young women in the big city.

It had been far too many years since I last visited Susan and Bob Story, her remarkably decent husband, an engineer and inventor, who has now transformed himself into a dedicated cattleman.

Not only is Susan the best person, but Pittwater is the best place.
