Most Feminists Don't Know the Origins of the Phrase "Smash the Patriarchy"

<p>Ask any card-carrying, smash-the-patriarchy feminist, &quot;What is the birthplace of women&#39;s rights?&quot; and they will most likely answer, Seneca Falls, New York.</p> <p>But it&#39;s not the whole story.</p> <p>The story we are taught in school is straightforward. On July 11, 1848, the first Women&#39;s Rights Convention met at Seneca Falls at the Wesleyan Chapel on Fall Street. The meeting was led by Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Matilda Joslyn Gage, Lucretia Mott, and Frederick Douglass and had an estimated 300 attendees.
