<h2>Numbers matter, but critique is better</h2>
<p>It’s not that I’m data collection-avoidant, I just don’t think the ways of collection are as open-shut-case-closed a process as is touted oftentimes.</p>
<p>Why?</p>
<p>Unless we are serious academics who’ve taken more than an intro to statistics, sociology, micro/macro economics courses, or for the alternative ed folks, read a whole lot of literature on how numbers, percentages, data-driven research and “facts” are contrived, we are not critiquing the numbers, as reported, properly.</p>
