Lucky Peterson
<p>I have four Lucky Peterson albums in my collection — <strong>Lucky Strikes, Beyond Cool, Lifetime, and Long Nights</strong>. I put the latter on this past Sunday while preparing dinner. By the time we got to <strong><em>Six O’clock Blues</em></strong> followed by <strong><em>Erline</em></strong> (fabulous slide guitar), I thought, “It’s been too long since I’ve put this music on.” Checked the internet for a Lucky tour schedule. I gasped and read nearly two-year-old bad news.</p>
<p>Judge Kenneth Peterson died May 27th, 2020 at his home in Dallas, Texas from a massive brain hemorrhage. Lucky was 55 years old, three years younger than I.</p>
<p>I felt badly that I had not noticed his NY Times obituary, but my mother passed away in April, 2020 and my father went five months later. With Covid and all, it was a difficult time.</p>
