A stage for period dramas. 1300 years of history

The Sumida River is a key location on the Sumida River, which was a ferry for boats connecting land to land, a ferry of Hashiba, a battlefield, and an old castle.
In the Edo period (1603–1867), it flourished as a scenic spot. It was also a battlefield and an important point of the Sumida River where an old castle was built.
There is a shrine that retains a legend like fox fortune-telling, a Fuji mound, and a Kannon-sama (Goddess of Mercy).

The area was also the setting of Shotaro Ikenami’s “Kenkaku Shobai,” a historical novel about a swordsman who lived near Masaki Inari, which is now a shrine on the temple grounds.
