The Gender Pay Gap Doesn’t Exist

<p>If you read&nbsp;<a href="https://medium.com/an-injustice/the-gender-pay-gap-doesnt-exist-a88ac82afb62" rel="noopener">the first part of this article</a>, then you would have come out with this message; the idea that women are paid less than men for doing the same work is wrong. Although it is fashionable to scream&nbsp;<em>equal pay for equal work</em>, women, even when they have the same levels of education as their male counterparts, usually take up work that affords more flexibility &mdash; which tends to pay less. It may be the case that if we can put a dollar value on flexibility, that could offset some of the actual lost salary dollars for women. If there is a single take-home lesson, it would be that the&nbsp;<a href="https://newsroom.iza.org/en/archive/research/the-gender-pay-gap-discrimination-or-structural-differences/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">scientific literature</a>&nbsp;is clear that workplace gender discrimination isn&rsquo;t the reason for the difference in pay between men and women.
