How to Manage Time More Effectively: Parkinson’s Laws
<p>How many times have you left a project or task until the last minute, even though you knew you could have done it earlier?</p>
<p>Many times, right? (Don’t worry, I’m guilty of this too.)</p>
<p>Human beings are natural procrastinators; we love to conserve energy. That’s why we always leave everything until the last minute, which is the essence of Parkinson’s Law.</p>
<p>The first time I read about this concept was in Tim Ferris’s book, “The 4-Hour Workweek.” It was a real paradigm shift to discover that we can actually be much more productive than we think, as long as we understand some simple rules.</p>
<h1>So, what are Parkinson’s Laws?</h1>
<p>Parkinson’s Law, formulated by the Englishman Cyril Northcote Parkinson, states that “work expands to fill the time available for its completion.”</p>
