Paris Catacombs — A Warm Date with the Dead

<p>I&rsquo;ve always been fascinated by how different cultures deal with death and their awe and respect of the dead, probably because of my upbringing in Taiwan, a Southeast Asian country where death is a taboo to be avoided and feared of, that I feel like I learned something about life and death every time I visit a different place that pays respect to this topic and allows me to explore. This catacomb (or any other cemetery) doesn&rsquo;t seem to be among one of the most popular sightseeing destinations for Asian tourists, reasons obvious, but I felt really peaceful and at ease during my visit to the Paris Catacombs, as if I were a student and this place was my greatest teacher, or as if the remains rested at the Catacombs were an ode to life for us to read.</p> <p><a href="https://medium.com/@stormygray/paris-catacombs-a-warm-date-with-the-dead-c234544f8368"><strong>Click Here</strong></a></p>
