Why Overpopulation is a much bigger issue than Overconsumption

<p>We often hear &ldquo;It&rsquo;s overconsumption not overpopulation&rdquo; which is the big issue. I disagree.</p> <p>My reason is that I do not want to leave the poor&hellip; poor. I agree that the excessive consumption of whatever it may be, the top 5% or so of global population, must reduce.</p> <p>Then if we accept that the next 5&ndash;10% or so are about at an acceptable level of consumption for a decent quality of life (a lifestyle on an approximate salary of $45&ndash;$55k USD, modest but sufficient) that still leaves another 85&ndash;90% who deserve to consume more, and a great many of them, very much more.</p> <p><a href="https://medium.com/@martinrev21/why-overpopulation-is-a-much-bigger-issue-than-overconsumption-464fdececc43"><strong>Website</strong></a></p>
