I feel Generative AI is making freshers in organizations dumber

A little bit of context on “Dumber”

So when I say dumber it doesn’t necessarily mean that the people who are using AI tools are stupid but they just don’t want to put more effort into it.

I have been hearing this answer a lot lately — “That’s what ChatGPT gave me.”

This is what I call dumb.

I feel like people who are using AI tools especially in the workplace are starting to blame tools rather than taking responsibility.

This happens especially in the case of content writing.

If you are working with someone who is new to the entire field and ask them to write let’s say captions or descriptions etc the first thing they do is go to ChatGPT and ask it to write.

Before ChatGPT this is how I used to do it:

I would read the content for which I am supposed to write captions or descriptions.

I would take the important pain points that we are solving in the content.

I would connect it with a story or a use case.

Then write as short as possible.

This feels like a tedious process but it did bring results.

Right now every social media caption ever made on LinkedIn feels like AI generated.
