Concerns have been raised by residents in Marine Park, who have reported asylum seeker families appearing at their doorsteps for assistance. The presence of these migrants has caused safety concerns in the predominantly working-class neighborhood. Williams criticized the Biden Administration for neglecting New York City’s migrant crisis and referred to Floyd Bennett Field as a “dumping ground.” The illicitly parked vehicles were reported by federal park police and subsequently towed. The NYPD’s 63rd Precinct also responded to the incident. So far, no official statement has been provided by the Mayor’s Office, and the NYPD claims to have no information regarding the towing of the vehicles. </p>
