The reason why I want to write in English – as a non English speaker
<p>To be honest, I am not confident in my English skills. Although, when I was a little kid in kindergarten, my mom urged me to learn English. That was a golden time in China; learning English was extremely popular at that time. So my mom spent a lot of money and bought a bunch of English textbooks for kids, and then I started learning.</p>
<p>However, learning earlier than other kids doesn’t mean that I am talented in it. The education in China is so competitive that everyone needs to put in a lot of effort in this rat race. I used to enjoy learning English because I thought it was fun. But since I joined this rat race, English is no longer my strongest subject. No matter how much effort I put into learning English, there will always be someone better than me. Maybe they are skilled at taking exams, or perhaps they were raised in the US or Canada, so they can speak like a native speaker.</p>
