It’s not often that a nation can enter an international conflict and come out smelling like roses. Yet, this is a moment many point to with pride because American soldiers played a role in liberating people from an oppressive regime. However, important context is often omitted from the conversation, namely that Nazis were heavily influenced by American policies.
