Hong Kong — Nan Lin Gardens, Diamond Hill, Hong Kong

The Nan Lin Gardens, Diamond Hill, Hong Kong, is a few minutes walk from the Diamond Hill metro station (take exit C2 from the station). You can enter the garden at ///snores.wasps.grad. The Garden is open daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, with occasional closures for maintenance.

The gardens are very relaxing and peaceful, despite some significant roads nearby. They are a little island of tranquillity in the madness and noise of Hong Kong, and I spent an enjoyable hour wandering around. The garden is designed in the Tang style, and you are expected to take a one-way circular walk around the park. Hence, you should follow the directions signs.

If I have one criticism of the garden, it is that the gardens are too well-managed and a little too well-maintained; why did they need to play music? However, don’t let that put you off; take the opportunity to relax and explore.

Learn More
