The Learning Curve that Comes with Multiracial Hair
<p>Some hair is harder to work with than others. This is an unfortunate truth that many people of colour face on a daily basis. This can be even more intense for multiracial people, as their hair may function and grow in an unusual way compared to their parents and ancestors. I’m lucky enough that my hair is somewhat malleable and manageable, but many multiracial people have the opposite experience.</p>
<p>As a child, my Mum used to look after my hair. When I got older and moved to university, I had to learn what to do myself. And let me tell you, it was a HUGE learning curve– one I’ll probably spend a lifetime studying.</p>
