Muddy play time!

Toddlers never think about how dirty they will get and that they will have to get cleaned up…they have better things to think about, so I just let her be, and the pups were having lots of fun with her.

If these snow pants were new, no, I would not let her play in the mud, then she would be all upset, and I would be taking her self-determinism away. If I kept telling her things she cannot do, then she would grow up to think she can’t do anything. I cannot suppress her from being a kid and enjoying playing in the mud.

To me, I think about how NOT to suppress her from what she wants to do, but also, don’t let her just do anything. Toddlers are very curious and constantly learning new things and wanting to explore more and more of what is out there. I have to find ways to enhance what she wants to do without her getting hurt, and without telling her she can’t do something.
