Moving to Sydney on a budget?
<p>Friends of the flat pack, lovers of the shiny and new, proceed at your own peril. I’m talking to the thrifters, the weekend salvagers, warriors of the freestyle aesthetic. If you appreciate things that are (usually) put together, had some previous love, showing the marks of time (a bit like the writer), I have a little Sydney treasure map for you.</p>
<p>It features an area of Sydney Sydneysiders call the ‘eastern suburbs bubble’ — a wonderous world of the affluent, who are cheekily referred to as being in a world of their own, not venturing out to other areas of Sydney much. I’m sure it’s just an envious dig at what is actually a lovely part of Sydney’s culture.</p>
