Movie Review: Spotlight

<p>I&rsquo;m a sucker for journalism in movies. Hollywood loves to portray the profession in the most glamorous way possible. Heated conversations, tense investigations, moral dilemmas, tears, anger, deceit, et cetera!</p> <p>As someone who went to school and studied journalism, there are a lot of merits to the profession. Especially when done with the vigor and obsession that the Boston Globe&rsquo;s &ldquo;Spotlight&rdquo; team took their signature story on in the early 2000s.</p> <p>Such is life that profit and institutionalism stand in the way of morality. That message is captured and reverberated throughout Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer&rsquo;s script. For their efforts, the pair won the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay.
