Impact of Motherhood Penalty
<p>Our lives are fundamentally shaped by two pillars: work and personal life, and maintaining a balance between them is crucial for a fulfilling human existence. Work, as a form of human activity, serves as one of the possible and necessary ways of value creation. When discussing the topic of work-life balance, it is not only about individual well-being but also about issues related to family planning, demographic challenges, and economic development.</p>
<p>Women have become an integral part of the workforce, but as we look up the career ladder, we may notice that women seem to vanish (<em>especially mothers</em>), a phenomenon often referred to as the “glass ceiling.” In my research, I focus on the social status, opportunities, and prospects of educated women, with an emphasis on identifying obstacles, potential causes, and solutions in the context of Hungary and other EU countries.</p>
