Morgan Stanley to Ministry of Rural Development: First Day at New Job

I have been wanting to work for the society for a long time and I finally circled in on a job at the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India. I uprooted myself almost entirely with my clothes, books, car, accumulated luxury junk barring just my head and thoughts, from Bangalore to Delhi for this job — so it better have been good. I was happy I was going to be moving to Delhi, specifically. Delhi is the center of a lot of things in India, it is just as globalized, probably more so, as Bangalore. It connects most of India very well so everyone who comes to India goes through Delhi. So I can meet a lot of people without any travelling. Not that I am looking forward to meeting people. I’m just looking forward to spending a lot less money to do that now. Delhi is also very relevant historically.
