Is There No Middle Ground?
<p>American politics has seen a rapid increase in the disparity of ideas between political parties. I was in my teens during the Obama years, and I didn’t really care for politics. I trusted the leaders of our country. I didn’t have any cause to worry about my future.</p>
<p>During the Trump years, I was a young adult living out of the country. When I returned to the U.S. in a largely conservative area, I was shocked at how passionate people had become about their party affiliations. No longer were people considering the morality or rationality of a political proposition. Rather, people were blindly and ignorantly questioning whether or not the proposition fit into their party’s ideology.</p>
