Ever Wonder why you Never Hear about Black “Method” Actors?
<p>Lady Gaga shared in an interview in <a href="https://www.vogue.co.uk/arts-and-lifestyle/article/lady-gaga-interview" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Vogue Britain</a> that she stayed in character all the time in order to play Patrizia Reggiani during the shooting of House of Gucci. Jared Leto is also known for being a method actor and staying in character while off-camera. I can’t imagine how annoying that was for the crew to have to deal with. Black actors can’t do that.</p>
<p>A TV or film set has a strict hierarchy. Even if the actor has power as an A-lister, like everywhere else in this racist society, Black actors have to be accommodating and kind in addition to being perfect at their jobs in order to book work in Hollywood. The antics that white actors are allowed to do without getting fired are beyond belief.</p>
