We’re sat here right now in the middle of the desert in Utah, with maybe a handful of people around us. It’s quiet — and peaceful — and a massive change to the past couple of weeks which we spent in Mexico City, Los Angeles and Las Vegas…
Perhaps our favourite of those three was the Mexican capital. We flew in from Managua in Nicaragua, and it felt like a significant change. Much more dense and modernised than the chilled dusty streets from where we’d come.
We stayed in the Roma district and set about trying some of the country’s famous cuisine. There’s a market in the centre which does phenomenal margaritas — and a famous churro place which was incredible.
