The Dream — Maurette Brown Clark
<p>Maurette Brown Clark has been such a blessing to me this year. After stumbling across her sophomore album, The Dream, I was captivated by how she was able to present worship and exaltation in such a soulful manner. Affectionately dubbed as the Princess of Praise and Worship, Clark has been a member of gospel luminary Richard Smallwood’s group, Vision, since its establishment, which if studied and listened carefully, you can hear its influence on this album in tracks such as Has God Done Anything For You. It’s fascinating to see how gospel songsters and songstresses all have a relation one way or another. I believe it always transcends in what I would call an engagement of ‘grace mates’ or supposedly just ‘catching the grace’.</p>
