If You’re Not Into Brutal Truth-Telling, Skip Matthew Perry’s “Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing”

I couldn’t help but chuckle when I read a woman’s comments about actor Matthew Perry’s new book as she gave it just one star out of a possible five.

She wrote, “I’m so disappointed. I thought it would be more of a redemption story that could help people but it was filled with vulgar language and stories that really shouldn’t have been told.”

I thought to myself after also having read his memoir: Yes, this woman is precisely right. How dare Perry write the truth of his existence as he fought a life-threatening addiction to drugs and alcohol for decades and grappled with countless relapses!
