Can You Manage Chronic Pain Without Opioids?

Managing any condition that involves chronic pain is a daily struggle.
You need to balance what you need to get done with how you feel.
Yet, your struggle is invisible to the outside world. People don’t understand that you are constantly at war with your own body, just to be able to survive.

I have had chronic back pain for almost 20 years now, because of bone spurs. I also have carpel tunnel and migraine headaches.
When I was first diagnosed with my back problems in the early 2000s, I was prescribed a muscle relaxer and an opioid painkiller. As the opioid crisis got worse, it became harder and harder to get a prescription for pain medication.
