Tackling My Most Difficult Hike in the Pacific Northwest: Mailbox Peak
<p>Two weeks after essentially christening my Washington residency, I attempted my boldest feat yet: Summiting the Mailbox Peak Trail.</p>
<p>According to <a href="https://www.alltrails.com/trail/us/washington/mailbox-peak-new-trail--2?sh=fahzgj" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">AllTrails</a>, it’s a 10.3 mile out-and-back hike with a 4,032 foot gain. Though rated “hard,” I assumed it would be easier than what it appeared to be. After all, my previous hike to Snow Lake was also deemed “hard,” but I accomplished that without any pain or regrets — though Mailbox Peak is much higher and longer, but whatever </p>
