Today, new Mac users want a computer – not MacOS
<p>You may have read my Intel Mac stories about how exciting it was to switch from a PC to a shiny new Mac in 2006 and 2007. But, why am I wording it ”how exciting <strong>it was</strong>” instead of ”how exciting <strong>it is</strong>”? This is a complex topic and it will take some time to explain what I mean. I’m going to go through a <em>LOT</em> of historical reasons how PCs defined what a computer is, why in recent times we have seen PC users buying Mac hardware but seemingly (anecdotally) never caring for MacOS. I will also look into why, in my own opinion, ARM PC laptops aren’t massively gaining momentum … yet.</p>
