Living It Up on the Lovely Li

You might think that this header image says it all — a majestic panorama of the Li River (the Li Jiang) flowing serenely between those impressive mountain peaks. And yes, it’s an impressive view. But let me share a bit more of our experiences of one day on and near the Li. In an earlier story, linked <a href="https://medium.com/globetrotters/gorgeous-guilin-089259e67d1e" rel="noopener">here</a> and at the bottom of this one, I’ve described our wonderful time in the city of Guilin, China. While there, we’d heard that a trip along the Li River was not to be missed. It’s more than 10 years ago now, and so I cannot remember how we travelled from Guilin to this section of the river.
