<p>According to the Project Management Institute’s 2021 <em>Talent Gap</em> report, the global economy needs 25 million new project professionals by 2030. Good news, right? But if you take a deeper look, the numbers aren’t all quite rosy.</p>
<p>According to PMI, more than half of those 25 million vacancies will not be coming from project management growth, but from the mass retirement of project managers aging out of the field. 13 million project managers are expected to retire from the workforce by 2030.</p>
