Living In Spain As An Expat – A Rant

Exactly two years ago today, I got on a plane from Montevideo, Uruguay and officially took a leap into a new adventure. For those who don’t know me, I was born in Uruguay but grew up in Atlanta, GA in the United States. I’d recently graduated from college and had always day-dreamed of the possibility of moving to Europe. Maybe one day, right? Fortunately I love tech and web development so I can essentially live and work anywhere as long as I have Internet access.

I got all my paperwork in order, made an impromptu decision to visit some family members in Uruguay and Argentina and then finally, off to a new life in España. I’m now 27 years old and in these past two years, I’ve lived in Barcelona and a small town in the south called Alicante.
