Dublin, why? - How litter destroys the image of a city

<p>According to Dubliners Ranelagh is one of the most beautiful parts of Dublin. It&rsquo;s a nice and quiet area with loads of parks and green areas. It&rsquo;s an area where families spend their Sunday afternoon walking through the streets, sitting on benches in parks and enjoying the ambience. Ranelagh is not only nice and quiet, it&rsquo;s also very clean. Well, at least on most days of the week. The image of this part of Dublin changes on Tuesday evenings. While walking through Ranelagh on a Tuesday evening one sometimes has to walk on the street because there is not enough space on the footpath. It&rsquo;s overcrowded with rubbish bins that were placed on the street for collection which is due every Tuesday. Actually there&rsquo;s nothing bad about that. Except that there&rsquo;s normally far too much rubbish so that it can&rsquo;t be collected completely and stays on the streets until the next collection.
