Dublin, why? - How litter destroys the image of a city
<p>According to Dubliners Ranelagh is one of the most beautiful parts of Dublin. It’s a nice and quiet area with loads of parks and green areas. It’s an area where families spend their Sunday afternoon walking through the streets, sitting on benches in parks and enjoying the ambience. Ranelagh is not only nice and quiet, it’s also very clean. Well, at least on most days of the week. The image of this part of Dublin changes on Tuesday evenings. While walking through Ranelagh on a Tuesday evening one sometimes has to walk on the street because there is not enough space on the footpath. It’s overcrowded with rubbish bins that were placed on the street for collection which is due every Tuesday. Actually there’s nothing bad about that. Except that there’s normally far too much rubbish so that it can’t be collected completely and stays on the streets until the next collection. As shown in these pictures this destroys the image of the city in a very unbeautiful way:</p>
