Open Letter to William T. Vollmann

<p>I&rsquo;ve never been famous as a musician or writer, maybe about in the mid 200&rsquo;s it looked like that might go down to a degree, but then it didn&rsquo;t. As to my music, the concept of samples of low-fi far right conspiracy theory material played over receptive disco has somehow not caught on commercially- go figure. There&rsquo;s an audiobook of a short story collection I did called&nbsp;<em>Hollywood Wiretapping</em>&nbsp;floating around that I signed a bad deal on in my twenties with a small company that was mostly an awful punk label. If I had cashed in on the fact my grandfather on my mother&rsquo;s side, David Mathewson, invented the original prototype of the M14 assault rifle at his company Mathewson Tool, I might have gotten some attention, but my mother was abusive and my father was in denial about this, and I didn&rsquo;t want to mess with my inheritances, so I didn&rsquo;t write a novel about that.&nbsp;</p> <p><a href="https://medium.com/@williamwheaton66/open-letter-to-william-t-vollmann-70902ced0200"><strong>Learn More</strong></a></p>
