Lessons from the field: Germany — Candidate Inga Frohmann: “We delivered the right messages about prevailing problems”
<p>This had to do, for one, with the adverse conditions of the procedure: voter disenchantment, lack of time and financial resources, and cold temperatures despite a traditionally red-hot political climate in the capital. For another, it was due to the glaring absence of strategy and creativity.</p>
<p><strong>CDU nevertheless emerged as the clear winner, gaining 10 percentage points and 28% of the vote.</strong></p>
<p>One of its candidates for State Parliament was Inga Frohmann. The 38-year-old mother of a young daughter, who works as advisor and chief of staff in the Bundestag, kindly shared her views on the campaign with us.</p>
