<p>The best managers in my experience are those who are humble, approachable and relatable. Authenticity brings out psychological safety in the culture. Make sure you are on the floor to get a real feel of what is going on. A role model in teamwork by supporting staff. Those who stay curious and continue (un) learning from others.</p>
<p>Being able to connect with many, and listen, whilst focusing on growth and encouraging others to look at the bigger picture, and using your bad experiences to initiate change instead of being silenced is what stands out from being a leader that allows vulnerability and empathy.</p>
