Diving in The Last Paradise

Raja Ampat translates to 4 Kings. Raja Ampat is not 1 island but comprises more than 1500 islands just off Sorong, Indonesia. There is a great number and variety of marine life here that scientists have described the place as a biological hot spot and believe that the reef systems here restock reefs throughout the South Pacific and Indian Oceans. How this works will be mentioned later. Travelling to Raja Ampat from Singapore took us almost a day. This included a 3-hour transit from Jakarta to Sorong as well as a 2.5 hours boat ride from Sorong to Raja Ampat.
