Catching Sunrise at Lantau Peak

Some moments are inked in memory and never die. Sunrise and sunsets are such magical moments that remind us of the passing of time — of the precious instants in life that are to be treasured. Hong Kong’s Lantau island is famous for the beautiful sunsets in the seat of clouds; the “Sunset Peak” is self-explanatory in its name. This time, we ventured up Lantau peak for its sunrise, visiting this familiar path but in an unfamiliar time of the day.

For watching the sunrise, some opt for starting the hike around midnight from 伯公坳, arriving at Lantau peak early in the morning.
