The land of plenty, or is it?

<p>Here in the land of plenty, we progress from our offices, to our cars, and into our homes where widescreen plasma televisions run nonstop into the evening: dozens of channels, the sky is the limit.</p>
<p>We make a date with a friend for three weeks hence to meet for coffee. The date gets postponed several times before our demanding schedules allow us to meet up at Starbucks. Once we meet, the first words out of our mouths recount how crammed with activities our lives have become and how little time we have to ourselves.</p>
