In the King’s land
<p>As I sit in a cosy nook of my small flat in the centre of the United Kingdom, surrounded by strange sounds and the steady drizzle outside my window, I can’t help but dwell on the flurry of emotions that has followed my recent migration. At almost 28 years old, I find myself in a new place on a journey for further education and self-discovery.</p>
<p>The decision to pursue postgraduate studies in the UK was not made lightly. Leaving Nigeria, my family, and the familiar hustle and bustle of Lagos was a leap of faith into the unknown. But here I am, a Nigerian woman navigating the complexity of life in a place that both captivates and frustrates me.</p>
