For instance, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott commented, &quot;Today,&quot; we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.,&quot; mentioning his &quot;<a href="https://x.com/0liviajulianna/status/1746973945503314206?s=20" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">vision of liberty</a>&nbsp;and opportunity.&quot; However, this is the same man who used his authority to remove any mention of the late civil rights leader from the required curriculum.
