The murders were carried out by men believed to be working for Al Capone’s rival gang, the Chicago Outfit. This event was a significant moment in the history of organized crime in the United States. Despite facing financial challenges during the Great Depression, Bailey’s family persevered and moved to Cleveland, Ohio, where he grew up and honed his singing skills in church choirs. Bailey’s exceptional academic performance and musical talent earned him a scholarship to Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated from high school at sixteen with a vision of becoming an international lawyer.</p>
