Life is not a journey

<p>Have you ever spent hours or days working on something, only to throw it away? I don&rsquo;t think so. But that&rsquo;s exactly what some Buddhist monks do with their Mandala, a beautiful and intricate design made of coloured powders. As soon as the Mandala is finished,&nbsp;<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBrYUlOYK0U" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">they sweep it up</a>. Why? To teach one of life&rsquo;s fundamental truths: everything is impermanent. Everything passes, except for taxes, of course, and that annoying song stuck in your head. But the real lesson is not to get too attached, because nothing lasts forever. This lesson has been difficult for me as I get attached to everything, even things I dislike.</p> <p>Everything ends. This is pretty obvious, isn&rsquo;t it?
