April 1st: Don’t Be Fooled by Jokes and Pranks

I’ll never forget this classic prank played on me when I was a youngster. It goes like this.

When I was in grade school, I would come home and have a snack. I loved to have cinnamon mixed with some sugar on toast.

Well, I prepared my cinnamon toast as usual, but this April day it tasted terrible. I took another bite, and I had to spit it out. Of course, I threw out the rest of my toast into the garbage can.

I did not understand why the toast tasted awful. It was a mystery to me. I felt bad because I wasted a piece of bread. I did not say a word. I had some water and did without a snack.
