International artists to perform “pansori” in joint concert on 17 March 2024
<p>Korea’s traditional musical storytelling, called “Pansori,” is becoming more popular internationally.</p>
<p>Four artists from different countries will perform “Pansori” alongside their teacher, Min Hye-sung, in an event called “Global Heungboga.”</p>
<p>The event will take place this Sunday at the National Gugak Center in Seoul.</p>
<p>It coincides with the 60th anniversary of Pansori being named an important part of Korea’s cultural heritage.</p>
<p>The four international performers are Anna Yates-Lu from Germany, Laure Mafo and Victorine Vlavo from France, and Alishahpour Dehshikhi Mahur from Iran.</p>
