The Israel-Hamas War Has Nothing To Do With “The Jews”
<p>Here we are, hitting a precipice, decades in the making.</p>
<p>A good friend just posted something online about whether people would “hide” or protect the Jews if it ever came to that. There’s a sobering thought. And already, I’m sure there are readers saying “Why are you prioritizing the Jewish people? What about the Palestinians?” Funny enough, I haven’t seen many say, “Yes, and what about the Israelis?”</p>
<p>What’s happening in the world right now is deeply nuanced, and also incredibly lose-lose. We are watching hundreds of years of broken politics, problematic beliefs about territory, and deeply ingrained hatred for others, unfold in real time. There is much to discuss here. And while the recent events are gut-wrenching, it feels important to say that things might get much worse before they get better.</p>
