<p>We live in the information age, witnessing the cascading of the events of the world befuddling us relentlessly. it’s not just hard to catch up; it’s impossible to fully grasp what’s going on before our eyes. The Social media has only worsened the situation, serving as attractive tools of indoctrination, whitewashing and falsifying information. Despite its flaws though, it has lately being an effective tool in swaying public opinion and challenging longstanding narratives peddled by other established media channels. The struggle of many popular channel to peddle the deeply fake and sensational news or to bury flagrant violations of basic human rights only prove that the era of monopoly of facts by traditional channels has elapsed.</p>
